Light Up Langthorne Parkrrrrr
The Network was commissioned by the Arts and Events Service of Waltham Forest Council to work with schools to produce artwork for the Light Up Festival which took place in Langthorne Park on Leytonstone High Road on Saturday 26 September 2009 and 2 October 2010.
2010
Artist Anna Alcock from Inky Cuttlefish Studios worked with students from Buxton School (primary phase) to produce lanterns and shadow puppetry for the park.
Dancers from The Lammas and George Mitchell Secondary Schools who have been participating in our Creating A Buzz project also performed street and Bollywood dance in the children's area during the evening.
2009
Croatian artist Lara Ritosa-Roberts worked with art students at Walthamstow Academy and Heathcote Secondary School to produce illuminated artworks for the park. The Network also organised children's activities in the herb garden including lantern-making workshops with Inky Cuttlefish, face painting, find a fairy, samba dancers from Heathcote School and street dance performances by Estate of the Arts.
