Black History Month 2009

As part of the Network's annual Black History Month celebrations, workshops will take place in several Waltham Forest secondary schools. Schools that have registered their interest to date are as follows:

- Rush Croft School
  African Drumming

- Tom Hood School
  Art workshops to explore the influence of Black artists on the
  artworld

- Norlington Boys
  Rap workshops

- Walthamstow Girls
  Songwriting with Year 9 girls

- Leytonstone and Kelmscott Schools
  Art forms to be confirmed

The workshops will culminate in performances of the work produced at each school at the end of the Autumn Term 2009.
